Steer Roast is a weekend gathering of Senior House residents, friends, and alumni which has been held annually since 1963. Events include the ceremonial lighting of the barbeque pit, two nights of live music, the festive meal, the awards ceremony, and more.
Since the shutdown of Senior House, Steer Roast has been held at various venues in and around Cambridge.
Steer Roast 2026 will happen on May 1 to May 3!!
The Head Veeps this year are Evan Barkho, Niko Kopparapu, and Zack Ivanisevic. They can be contacted at headveeps26@mit.edu with any questions, suggestions, and offers to help with the various parts that make up Roast: bands, food, art, security, bartending etc.

Steer Roast is entirely funded by the Senior House Corporation and your generous donations.
